Best in British Music

There I was, looking through NME’s most recent blog posts and I just happened to stumble across this. It’s amazing. Massive kudos to East London artist Pello for creating this masterpiece! The print was released last year just before the Olympic closing ceremonies celebrations; ‘A Symphony of British Music’ and is an incredible representation of where the ‘Best British Bands of all time’ originated. With the likes of The Sex Pistols, The Smiths and The Beatles included in the long list of old classics, accompanied by slightly more modern Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys and Biffy Clyro; the guy clearly has great music taste.

However, it has previously been slated for it’s teensy tiny error, misplacing east London’s Iron Maiden, but we’re all friends here, I’m sure we can look past this. It’s just such a clever piece, combining the old with the new, managing to fit the bands snug into the colourful British outline. Only one thing could make this better, including Ireland. Just think about it, Two Door Cinema Club, Villagers, U2, Ash, The Frames, I’ll leave the rest to you. I know, I know, it’s the best of ‘British’ music, but he could have made an exception.
