As we’ve now settled into the new academic year, slowly getting ourselves used to the morning drag out of bed, it’s time to get back to work. If you can call watching owls take baths on YouTube work…
Yes, that did happen. I’ve been studying Journalism for over a year now, and each day just seems to get weirder, it’s brilliant; creative people are the best. Over the past few days, after seeing so many ‘fed up’ status’ from people in Sixth Form, I’ve been genuinely thankful for the path I chose. How could I cope with taking another exam when I’m used to sitting in a classroom discussing new bands, gigs, films and general news stories. All whilst gaining skills that I wouldn’t get at sixth form: Producing a magazine, having our own radio shows, being pushed to make a career out of something we’re passionate about just like our tutors have done.
Having whole units based on looking at magazines or developing our specialism, preparing us for working in the industry we want to work in. I really couldn’t have picked anything better.
